Registered Training (RTO)

Hospitality Group Training offer nationallly accredited courses ranging from Certificate 2 in Hospitality (Operations) up to Certificate 4 in Frontline Management. These courses are designed to give you the necessary skills, knowledge and qualifications for the Hospitality Industry. Certificate 2 & 3 in Hospitality (Operations)

HGT provides training in Certificate 2 and 3 in Hospitality (Operations) which fosters a strategic training culture across all areas of training needs. Training programs are delivered both on and off the job. On the job training consists of observation, discussion, small assignments and coaching. Off the job training can be individual or group training sessions where issues such as customer service and health and safety are addressed. These sessions are scheduled at a time and a place to suit the roster.

Certificate 3 in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
HGT delivers Certificate 3 in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery). HGT have identified the needs of the Hospitality Industry and have reduced time away from the workplace significantly. The cookery program is delivered in the workplace by qualified chefs and only the practical units require TAFE attendance. Training sessions are scheduled at a time and place to suit the roster.

Certificate 3 in Business (Frontline Management)
After apprentice chefs successfully complete their apprenticeship, HGT will offer Certificate 3 in Business (Frontline Management). This course provides important training in supervisory and management skills which can be applied in the workplace. The delivery is conducted in the workplace by qualified trainersand assessors at a time that will suit the roster.

Certificate 4 in Business (Frontline Management)
The Frontline Management program provides in-depth management knowledge and competence for leaders in the Hospitality Industry.

The training is divided into 3 parts.

                     - Training              - Work based projects              - Assessment

The program is suitable for people in managerial positions including office managers and supervisors as well as middle and senior management. The focus of this program is to assist supervisors and managers to meet the daily industry challenges with a minimum amount of disruption to the workplace.

Recognition of Current Competency (RCC)

RCC is available for all courses and is a way of recognising prior skills and knowledge you may have gained via avenues such as:
  • Other nationally accredited training
  • Employment and/or work experience
  • Life experience
  • Informal study/personal interest
  • VET High School Program
Mutual recognition acknowledges studies that you have already completed with any other nationally Registered Training Organisations (RTO's). For further details on applying for RCC or Mutual Recognition, please contact HGT.
