Mark has been with HGT for 8 years and currently oversees all business operations. Marks past history has included National Coordinator Redundancy Staff Support and human resource management in various industries. Mark also has a very strong OH&S background and oversees all occupational health and safety development for HGT.

Jodi brings a wealth of experience to the cookery program at HGT being a Qualified Chef and working at the Sydney Olympics in the Media Village. Before commencing with HGT Jodi was the Executive Chef of the Maid of Auckland and the Torrens Arms Hotels. Jodi manages all workplace performance programs for HGT apprentice chefs and hospitality traineeship programs.

Janet has been involved in all facets of the hospitality industry including payroll, human resource and management for over 30 years. Janet has worked in three different states from owner operated single venues to large multi owned company venues and brings to HGT a wealth of financial and management experience.

Bev joined the team at HGT to conduct training sessions on-site at HGT's offices for our Productivity Places Program. Bev is a qualified trainer and assessor with extensive training experience specific to the hospitality industry (Front of House). She has many years of hospitality experience and knowledge including having been a licensee and managing various venues throughout South Australia and interstate.

Gladys brings to this role 20 years experience in Human Resource Development, administration and funding. Over the years Barbara has had a successful hospitality career including owner/operator of Derhams Foreshore Motor Inn. Barbara's role at HGT is in recruitment and marketing where she assists hospitality employers in gaining great staff and consults with employers on their apprentice and trainee needs.

Kain is part of the cookery management team and has been a qualified chef for 8 years. Kain is also a qualified trainer and assessor and assists with all apprentice training and workplace issues. Kain comes to us from the Lyndoch Hotel where he was the head chef and is an ex-HGT apprentice.

Dale started out in the hospitality industry at the age of 15 as a kitchen hand and went on to complete a 1 year course in Hospitality Management at Casey College in Melbourne. He completed his apprenticeship at Halls Gap and the Findon Hotel.
Dale started with Hospitality Group Training in August 2009 as a consultant. Dale gained his Certificate in Workplace Training and Assessment several years ago and is currently studying for a Certificate III in Frontline Management.

Susan comes to us from the Parissi Restaurant where she has worked as a chef for the past 8 years. She has a broad business background with an Associate Diploma in Marketing. She has also owned her own business for four years.
She currently holds a Cert IV in frontline Management and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment

Cath started working in nursing homes as a kitchen hand in the Blue Mountains in NSW which led to an apprenticeship and later opened a seafood restaurant in Springwood, NSW and ran that successfully for five years.
After working across Australia including the Northern Territory, Cath moved to South Australia and continued working in kitchens and while working at Mick O'Shea's she finished her Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment.
Cath started with Hospitality Group Training in July 2010 as an industry training consultant.

Liz joined the team at HGT as Project Officer in April 2010. Liz's early hospitality career spanned over America, the UK and South Australian hotels and restaurants. Liz spent over 12 years working with the Tourism and Hospitality Advisory Board and has extensive experience and knowledge within the vocational education and training sector of the hospitality industry.

Chan joined us in August of 2011. Chan has over 10 years experience in hospitality, starting out in a non paid work experience food & Beverage role never looked back. After doing food & beverage for 3 years she then moved into front office and completed her degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of South Australia.

Joining us in Late 2010, John comes from a varied background in the IT industry, having worked in such diverse industries as Defence, Manufacturing and Education. John has an Honours Degree in Computer Science, majoring in Software Engineering and has a great deal of experience with most aspects of IT support and the generation of electronic learning materials. John has assumed responsibility for the development of a number of E-Learning projects both in progress and under development.

Di joins HGT with an extensive background in Payroll. 17 yrs processing Payroll for a telecommunications company and 9.5 yrs working in a payroll/administration role with a SA owned hotel group. Di looks after all the payroll enquiries.

Barbara (who likes to be called Bee) started with HGT in May 2009 as the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Focus Person. Bee has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Majoring in English), a Diploma of Education and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Most of Bee's career has been spent in Teaching and Language Assessment. Prior to working at HGT, Bee worked for LM Training as a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessor and teaching English and Work Education at high school level. Prior to this she has had nine years experience coordinating and teaching on the IVEC programme with TAFE and teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Sue commenced with HGT to assist and job share with Bee Roberts in all aspects of the WELL funded Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Diploma in Education and a Graduate Diploma in TESOL. Sue’s background is in teaching and assessing adults for whom English is a second language and she has experience at school, TAFE and university levels, including placements in London and Germany. More recently she has undertaken project work for DFEEST involving research into the formal recognition of the skills and experience new migrants bring when they arrive in Australia seeking employment and a new life.
