How does the recruitment process work?

Once you have signed up with Hospitality Group Training as a host employer, we will establish a short list based on your requirements and send suitable applicants to you for interviewing prior to placement. Interviewing applicants through HGT does not obligate you - the final decision is yours.

Alternatively, an existing member of your staff may be suitable for a career opportunity. You may wish to consider them for an apprenticeship / traineeship, and can liase with HGT throughout this process.

How long does an employee remain with me?

Apprentices are available for periods varying from a few weeks up to two years depending on suitability and training opportunities within the host establishment. It is preferred however that an apprentice remains with a host employer for a minimum of twelve (12) months where possible, to ensure that adequate learning and skills are achieved whilst at your establishment. This also assists the apprentice to gain valuable skills in being committed to their employment and employer.

Trainees complete the full contract term with the one host employer, unless special circumstances prevail.
