(HGT) employs over 240 Apprentices and Trainees at any given time, and provides the opportunity for apprentices and trainees to be employed and leased to host employers for the duration of their contract of training.  HGT manages the training and development of apprentices and trainees through performance assessments and a planned and structured rotation if required.  This gives the employee the opportunity to work in a range of establishments, giving them a greater diversity of skills and knowledge. Hospitality Group Training is a non-profit organisation established by the Australian Hotels Association (SA Branch) and the Australian Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union.  HGT is the largest employer of apprentices and trainees in the Hospitality Industry in South Australia.
