Who is Hospitality Group Training?A
joint initiative of the Australian Hotels Association (AHAsa) and the
Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union (LHMU), Hospitality Group
Training (HGT) was formed in 1985. HGT is a not-for-profit organisation
and is the largest employer of hospitality apprentices and trainees in
South Australia, covering all areas of hospitality, including cooks, butchers, kitchen-hands and front-of-house staff.
As a Group Training provider HGT employs apprentices and trainees
and may rotate them as required between suitable host establishments
for the duration of their Contract of Training.
In late 2007 HGT expanded on their expertise by becoming a
Registered Training Organisation to further service the industry by
providing flexible training options.
We at HGT pride ourselves on being a group of highly skilled
individuals with exceptional Hospitality experience, sharing core
values.
Our business is about
Each year, HGT holds its Graduation and Awards Ceremony to recognise
publicly the successful graduates of the past year. This is an
excellent event designed to showcase our graduates and also those
currently working towards a successful completion by presenting awards
such as outstanding achievements and apprentice or trainee of the year
(for each year level).

To encourage excellence in the industry we have created an award program to reward our outstanding performers. The award is presented every three months to both an apprentice and trainee. We are fortunate to have our reputable partner TRIMS sponsor this initiative with the award winner being presented with a voucher to purchase goods relating to their vocation from TRIMS to the value of $100.00.
